
Sergeant Christopher H served a total of 24 years in the military over the course of separate enlistments, first the Navy, and then the National Guard.
He completed three deployments to Iraq (one for OIF). In 2006 he was discharged with PTSD and other injuries, and is now 100% disabled and unemployable. He and his wife of 21 years have five children (all teenagers) and she recently lost her job.
Now the family is dealing with a number of failing household items and no money to repair them. Their well pump is malfunctioning, which means intermittent and unsafe water. In addition, their refrigerator and washer are broken, and the family transportation (a minivan large enough to hold the entire family) has broken down.
"It seems like it is just one thing after another," Christopher says. "Any help would be an absolute blessing."
